  Designed, developed and implemented Clearing System for Comex Division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. System performs Risk Based Margining, Treasury Management, Trade Entry, Position Maintenance and Option Expiration Processing. Processing was distributed between departmental database, mainframe database and external banking systems. System recognized as industry leader and managing over $500 million dollars with a 99.9999% uptime over 14 years.

  October 1983 - July 1987

  Established, staffed and managed 9 person DBA and Strategic System Planning group for major retail brokerage firm. Designed and implemented databases for Trade Entry, Firm Trading, Customer Profile & Commodity Systems. Designed Processing System for Repos, Mortgage Backed, Treasury Bills, Bonds, Notes and Government Agencies.C based system handled all processing from Trade Entry to Settlement and Profit and Loss Reporting.

  Designed system and managed 7 person group for a Securities Processing System for Institutional Custody Accounts. System saved bank millions of dollars by performing hands-off processing, from trade entry through settlement for the majority of equity and municipal bond trades with electronic links to Depository Trust Company. System recognized as the best in the bank and in the industry. Designed and performed initial development for the first PC-based Trade Entry System at the bank
